explore faith

TRY ALPHA — STARTING TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 24

what is alpha?

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to ask the big questions of life: What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering in the world?

Alpha is a 10-week series of short films, centred around a meal, that provides guests a chance to ask these questions and explore the Christian faith in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Alpha is designed to be a space for people who wouldn’t typically go to church and wouldn't call themselves Christians. It’s for the open-minded, the curious, and those who want to explore what life is all about.

how does alpha work?

Beginning September 24, Alpha runs every Tuesday at St. George’s Grange Park for 10 weeks from 6:30-8:30pm. There’s also an extra Saturday session in the middle.

Each session includes food, a short film and a discussion where you can share what you think with a small group of people just like you. It’s a relaxed and friendly environment, where no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

If at any point you decide Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up, and no charge.

Registering for Alpha helps us to host you well— we can make sure we have enough food, place you in a small group with people like you, etc. Once you’ve filled out the form, we’ll be in touch with more details about what to expect.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more before registering, send us an email at alpha@sggp.church.
